It’s first phase from three phase of Ketofastosis Diet (Intermittent Fasting with Keto Diet).
Induction Phase (3 days – 2 weeks)
The Induction Phase is a Phase that aims to trigger the body to adapt to use Fat as energy. This phase is performed for a minimum of 3 days to 2 weeks (or until fasting blood sugar <80 mg / dL). In the Induction Phase, the amount of carbohydrate intake per day is suppressed to below 10g per day, thus accelerating the emptying of “Glycogen” in the Liver which will make the body’s metabolism change to Ketogenesis.
Induction phase combines the fasting of IF (Intermittent Fasting) for 16 hours to 18 hours with a very low carbohydrate menu. The Food menu in the Induction Phase is sourced from Animals (fat and slightly meaty parts) and Vegetable Fat (coconut oil, olive oil, coconut milk, etc.). During the Foods Induction Phase the food contains no “vegetable” or “fruit” elements (although permitted as in the Ketogenic Vegetables & Fruit list). The main source of Induction Fill food menu comes only from Animal sources such as Fish (Seafood), Chickens (Poultry), Eggs and Meat (Livestock). The process of cooking the food menu must use or add elements of fat such as coconut oil, olive oil, butter, coconut milk, lard, milk cream, cheese and so on.
